The 5th European Pair Go will be held in Cannes, a famous town on the Riviera. The championship will take
place at the "Palais des
festivals" (as shown on the photo), during the Festival of Games.

PARTICIPANTS : One pair from each european country is invited. The pairs must be nationals of the countries
they represent.

RULES :
The tournament rules are the rules of the Japan Pair Go Asociation used during the International Amateur Go
Championship.

The tournament will be played by Swiss system, 5 rounds, time limit 45 minutes per pair, no byoyomi, komi
5.5, japanese rules.

ACCOMODATION :
Free accomodation and breakfast will be provided for Friday night and Saturday night. Other meals and
transport costs are not
provided by the organizers.

The accomodation will be in Hotel Mondial, 3 stars hotel, close to the Palais des Festivals (200 m). The
accomodation will be in 2
persons-rooms (twin-rooms).

ENTRY:
All players will have to register before 3 February 2002.

For registration, please send a mail to the Director of the tournament (Hanotin@wanadoo.fr) with the
following informations :

-> COUNTRY : Name, Federal Contact (Prйsident or Secretary or Responsible of competitions), email or
-> telephone.

-> PLAYERS :

Names, First names, Sex, Level (by european rating), adresses, emails or telephones.

Arrival by train/plane/car :

Scheduled time of arrival : (if you don't know precisely yet, precise it later)

Preferred choice of accomodation :

-> in a twin room with my pair partner

-> in a girl/boy twin room with another girl/boy

-> other, please precise

In case you have special preference (double bed, room with a third person accompanying), please let us know
as soon as possible.

Persons that are accompanying the players will have to pay for their accomodation.

We cannot guarantee that late entries will be accepted (except if you report us in advance with reason).

ARRIVAL:
The players must inform us of their planning of arrival.

Those who arrive in the afternoon will check-in in the Palais des Festival before going to Hotel "Le
Mondial".

Those who are due to arrive after 19.00 must confirm their arrival by calling us before 19.00 on our mobile
phone. Mobile Phone :

They will go directly to Hotel "Le Mondial" 67 rue d'Antibes - 06400 Cannes.

Please inform us of any change in your planning of arrival.

GETTING TO CANNES:
By train: Cannes railway station is close (300 m) to the Palais des Festival.

By plane: by Nice International Airport (25km)

There is regular shuttle bus service between Nice International Airport and the city of Cannes. The price of
a single ticket is
approximately 10 euros.

By car: Autoroute A8, sortie Cannes-Centre
